Ken Goodrich of Goettl Air Conditioning Awards a Veteran and Student

Nick Hughes was not sure on the career to pursue immediately after leaving the U.S. Navy some three years ago. It was not easy for him to transition back into the civilian life having been in the navy for long. Presently, he is just weeks away from graduating from the applied science in air conditioning technology program he has been pursuing for the last two years. He has also received the post 9/11 Veterans Tools Award, that was sponsored by Goettl Air Conditioning owner, Ken Goodrich.

Reactions to the Award

Hughes worked for about seven years in the Navy as a cook. He comes from Northern California and excelled well in his program. Hughes is working in a local Phoenix HVAC firm (Goettl). About Goettl Air Conditioning

Adam and Gust Goettl created the company in 1939 and then relocated in 1968 to the Las Vegas Valley. The company was forced out of Southern Nevada by the recession in 2007. It was then purchased by Ken Goodrich in 2013 and opened the Las Vegas branch office in April 2016. Goodrich had developed his love for the company in Las Vegas when he was 10 as he held a flashlight for his father working on an evening service call.
