Founded in 1816, AXA started as Mutuelle de L’assurance contre L’incendie in Paris, France. It later acquired two other companies becoming Mutuelles Unies. It adopted the AXA name in 1985 which till now it uses as its brand name which covers AXA Equitable Financial Services, and its family of companies, such as AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, MONY Life Insurance Company of America AXA Advisors, and AXA Distributors. Over time, AXA has acquired many other companies ranging from Drouot Group, Guardian Royal Exchange to Winterthur Group which has seen its immense growth.

He went to Pace University in New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. With more than two and a half decades worth of experience in the industry, he started his career with Prudential as an agent, but later joined MONY Life Insurance Company where he held various regional and local field management positions, and finally joined AXA Advisors in 2004.
